Snowy Wisconsin – here we come

Packed our sweatshirts, gloves and hats. Ready to fly to Minneapolis and then drive to Wisconsin to spend some time with Mel, Tim, Hannah, Laina, Andrew and Abby. We get to celebrate Laina’s 7th Birthday 😃. It’s hard to believe that it’s already snowing there today.

Good to be back in Virginia

Great trip and so many memories. So enjoyed our few days in New Jersey spent with the Powers clan. Helping with Knox and Roe while Nicole and Josh’s wedding went on. Watching Knox (ring bearer) and Buddy officiate – they both did an awesome job. Barbecue the next day with the Powers and then getting back to Virginia and Dan,Caitlin and Dawson. Seeing how much he’s grown in the last month. I think jet lag has worn off and we’re adjusting to slowing down a little.

Saturday in Inverness, Family get together on Sunday in Nairn

Amazing weather we still have not needed an umbrella this trip 😮. Spent the day in Inverness yesterday, climbed Inverness Castle viewing tower and saw the city of my birth from a new perspective. Spectacular views that photos really don’t do justice to. Coffee at the Palace Hotel, dinner at Nando’s with Lynne, Ian and Jamie. Today a family get together in Nairn for lunch at The Sundancer. Tomorrow we head south to Edinburgh then on to London and back to the USA. It has been an amazing month that wouldn’t have been possible without the hospitality of friends and family – we are so blessed. Special thanks to all of you who have welcomed us with open arms, fed us, housed us, let us do laundry quite frequently, and most of all – loving us 😘😘

Highland adventures

Flew into Inverness on Monday and spent the night with Lynne and Ian then spent two days in Oban with Joan and Richard had fun picking brambles and hazel nuts.

Back to Inverness via Ardgour – a quick visit. Great catching up with old friends Lorna, Sheila and Ann. Today we went to John O’Groats and Dunnet Head. Amazing weather and scenery. What a fun time we are having 😎😎

Beautiful Co Cork and Co Clare

It has been a wonderful week just relaxing. Seeing the Cliffs of Mohrer yesterday was the highlight of the week, especially since we weren’t sure if the weather would clear. The forecast said clouds and a little sun -WRONG – it was the most glorious day, warm and breezy and clear. I’m having trouble loading pics so will try later.
