We had hoped to get to Wisconsin before the snow- Not! Snow came early this year – even the locals thought so. We have had a wonderful time with Mel, Tim, Hannah, Laina, Andrew and Abby. Sledding, Pickleball, eating Cheese curds, Brats from Louisās Finer Meats, playing games and drinking coffee.

So excited to be going back to Lake Tahoe. Just landed in Charlotte NC the next stop Phoenix Arizona, then Reno Nevada, and finally a short drive thru the desert to Lake Tahoe. A plus about flying these days – Mark and I both have window seats and no one next to us. Looking forward to spending time with Buddy and Cindy šš
Itās almost the end of an amazing week having all our kids, spouses and grandchildren together. It has been such a great blessing.
We swam in Big Spring, canoed, picked blueberries, ate burgers, made cookies, went hiking, paddled in Kerrās Creek, explored the Farms, enjoyed just hanging out together. We had a girls day – lunch and went shopping.
Time has flown by and we are so thankful for the time weāve had together- lots of laughter and fun ā¤ļø.
May The Lord watch over each one until our next time together.

So weāve been at Corran Cottage for over a week now – and the days have been flying by. Weāve been unpacking and trying to get organized.
It is so beautiful – waking up to glorious sunrises, watching the day begin. Sitting drinking coffee on the porch. Thereās is lots of of wildlife to watch. Many rabbits hopping around. We have a swallowās nest in the garage, so we open the door in the morning to let mama bird out to find food for the babies – hoping they will fly off soon so we can keep the other creatures out. We had a family of raccoons snacking on protein shakes and Fish oil capsules the other night š. Three huge turkeys strolled by the other day and deer are regular visitors.
Getting to spend time with Jill, Buddy, Knox, Roe and Scout has been such fun. They had us over for dinner every night last week and that made life so much easier. We have been taking evening walks and end the day sitting on the porch watching the sunset – life is sweet and we are so grateful that God has planted us here. In Lexington

So the long awaited day finally arrived and here we are sitting on the porch watching our first sunset from Corran Cottage. A gentle breeze is blowing up the valley,, birds are singing and so far two rabbits are hopping around. We are so grateful.for so many people who have helped us along the way. Today Chris Shane, Dan, Buddy and Bailey made moving from Pod to Uhaul to the house and garage possible – THANK YOU. Jill picked up awesome barbecue from Fawn and Daniels – so delicious..
We are missing Dawson, Dan and Caitlin after spending almost a year with them in between our travels.
We are so excited to begin this new chapter in Lexington

So for the past few weeks Mark and I have been helping with our Precious Ones. Mark has been with Dawson in Fredericksburg and I have been here in Lexington getting ready for the arrival of Scout Jolie Powers who made her appearance by a C-section last Monday and weighed in at 9lbs 6 oz. Jill and Scout are both doing well and they are all adjusting to being a family of 5. I am so thankful that Mark and I are able to help our family. He comes down on Thursday or Friday and goes back to Fredericksburg on Sunday afternoons.
We have enjoyed taking long walks with Knox and Roe around the farms – seeing geese and ducks nesting, watching bald eagles, turtles sunning themselves, muskrat swimming, picking wild flowers and climbing the hills to admire the view across the valley, canoeing on the spring, chasing chickens that flew the coop and collecting their eggs.
Life is not normal but this has been quality time with these grandchildren. How can we complain about that.
Praying that each of you stay healthy and safe. ā¤ļøšš»

Itās been a while since I posted so thought this would be a good time. We are enjoying quality time with Dan, Caitlin and little Dawson. Lots of fun playing with Dawson, sitting on the front porch and taking afternoon adventures in the Spotsylvania Battlefield. Finding new trails while Dan and Caitlin work from home.

So life has slowed down and weāre glad we got to travel when we did. During this time we are spending more time in prayer and asking Godās protection, His peace and His presence to be very real to all of us.
Itās in these times of uncertainty when we donāt know what tomorrow will bring that we are so reassured that God holds our lives in His hands.
This was made very real to me recently. My best friend Sophia and I were planning a trip to Italy. As I was preparing I continued to have an uneasy feeling (this was before any mention of Corona virus in Italy) so much so that I finally called her and told her I just couldnāt go – nothing I could put my finger on just this lack of peace. She told me she didnāt want to go either- so that was the end of that trip. Shortly after we find out Italy has been hit badly and closed down- we would have been there and likely stuck thereš². I have always known God was faithful and involved in our lives but this intervention was such a reassurance.
A scripture to read if you are stressed, anxious, fearful – Psalm 91.
We love you and are praying for you during this time.
We have had a great time in Florida- enjoyed the sunshine, played lots of Pickleball, went to the beach. Mark and Buddy enjoyed a Penguins hockey game in Tampa. So much fun spending this time with Buddy and Cindy – we love you guys and looking forward to our Lake Tahoe trip. Weāve missed all our Precious Ones and canāt wait to see their little faces.
